Webinar #36 looks at transition to college and preparation to make settling in easier. We will look at the transition to college, supports that are in place, advice and guidance to ensure students will hit the ground running and settle in quickly and effectively. How best to engage with your lectures, labs, assessments, research and extra-curricular. You will hear from a career guidance perspective along with college insight on how they support students and hear of students/parent’s experience of transitioning to 3rd level.

- 0-40 minutes: Synergy Careers, Julie O’Connor, looks at the variety of supports provided to students, the importance of attending Orientation week, joining societies & clubs and the necessary preparing and planning to help a smooth transition to 3rd level.
- 40-50 minutes: Deirdre NiChearúil Maynooth University on college supports and student experience in MU
- 50-59 minutes: Patrick Cosgrove MIC highlights the variety of supports & services for students along with importance of communication, always checking your college email
- 59- 68 minutes: Panel Discussions: Final tips to settle in as best you can to college whether at home or away
