A series of FREE Career Guidance Webinars will be available for the next academic year for Parents, Students and Guidance Counsellors, click here for schedule.

The Topics will be on General Career Guidance topics + Careers in…..Series – a total of 36 talks. It includes general insight from Career Guidance Consultant, Julie O’Connor of Synergy Careers, along with 2 or 3 guest speakers from colleges and/or relevant organisations plus personal insight from students, graduates and/or parents

• When: These are scheduled for Monday lunchtime at 12.30 to run for approximately an hour, during school term (with a few exceptions).
• Registration will go live the 3 weeks prior to the talk. These webinars will be offered via Zoom . Registration is essential to attend and is FREE. A link to the online event will be sent to you, once you register.
• Recordings + resources: Each session is recorded. A recording will be available for FREE for 1 day after the talk to allow for parents/students or Guidance counsellors who maybe unavailable at that time, so no one need miss out.
• Questions can be sent in advance to ensure all queries are answered.

The Careers in …Series refers to 20 talks scheduled throughout the year in our webinar series, focusing on specific career categories. Here we take a look at who is best suited, options to gain relevant qualifications, how to apply and more. We will also here from colleges, marketing team or course directors, potential employers, and/or representatives from registering bodies on new and relevant developments. Registration will be required to attend and receive links post webinar. A recording will be available for 1 DAY after the talk to allow for parents/students or Guidance counsellors who maybe unavailable at that time. Questions can be sent in advance to ensure all queries are answered.

 General Career Guidance Topics Covered

This is a series of 16 talks on General Topics from college application to study skills to How Parents can Support Careers Exploration…Series which are scheduled at relevant times of the year, eg CAO talk in November is scheduled the week CAO application system opens for students.

There will be a variety of speakers at each webinar. I will be hosting and giving a general introduction/overview to each topic; guest speakers from 3rd level, industry and other relevant organisations will join me to give more indepth details. There will be a maximum of 6 speakers per session, including the host. If more than 5 colleges/relevant speakers are interested and wish to book, the webinar will be scheduled at lunchtime on other lunchtimes @ 12.30 on the same week.

School Parents Nights

On site or online talks for school communities: suitable for parent evenings, recordings of webinars can be sent to the school/organisation after to allow those who could not attend access

Online Career Guidance Workshops

Online workshops for senior cycle students.

These will provide more in-depth career guidance, with workbooks containing reflective exercises, worksheets on topics listed below. This is more than an information session providing students a more interactive and engaging learning experience.

Each workshop will be organised with workbook of relevant information and exercises to help students explore and offer tips to engage better in each area. This workbook will be sent in advance to be printed for the group. We will invite relevant guest speaker(s) to join,  depending on the aim of the workshop eg local employer and representative from Chamber of Commerce with Job Preparation.

Career Guidance Exploration Class Option

We offer Career Guidance small group sessions in the area of Career Exploration.

This option would suit a student group keen to get career guidance on a cheaper budget.

Synergy Careers wishes to offer students a chance to explore their strengths, interests, values and much more via an online group setting using online career guidance tools from the comfort of their own home. We offer a series of 3 classes to goups of senior cycle students. This can be booked by a school, charity, parent group for a minimum of 6 to maximum of 10 students. The lessons will be transmitted through Zoom.
